wide water proof hiking boots August 6, 2010

Very happy with these boots. They are as wide as other 4E New Balance soprts shoes which I like to wear. It is very comfortable. I went hiking last week and it is the best I have experienced. Great Product for my wide feet.

This is my second pair of the mw977 walking shoes. The first pair lasted me 2 years of wearing them every day for work.The company I work for has a no sneaker policy so I bought these because they don't look like sneakers.But they are as comfortable as sneakers and my feet appreciate them very much as I'm on my feet all day long.They are a little pricey but they are worth every dollar.They wear like iron and never look beat up looking,the bottoms finally wore out so it was time for another pair.I would recommend them for anybody that wants a good pair of comfortable shoes for every day use.

I've had these shoes (low boots) for about seven months. I've worn them nearly every day to work. Five to six days a week. 9-10 hours a day. Through the very rough Mid Atlantic winter this year. They show little wear on the exterior or soles. There was very little break in time. Incredibly comfortable. My feet didn't get hot, which has been a problem for me. These boots really did exceed my expectations. As others have stated, some of the recent New Balance products run a little narrow compared to their shoes of 10 to 15 years ago. I typically size at 11 4E. I listened to other reviewers and ordered 11.5 4E and they fit perfect. The GoreTex kept my feet completely dry in all weather. I will buy these again. In fact, I may buy a pair or two more in case they are discontinued, like the New Balance 608 cross trainer was. Can't be more pleased with this boot. And I am very hard to please when it comes to foot comfort.
