Not a great fit for me September 5, 2010 SAO (Portland, OR USA) I liked the look of these shoes online, and thought that I couldn't go wrong with them. I am not sure why I didn't return them when I got them. The laces are REALLY long and I have to tie them in triple knots to not trip over them. They feel really wide and just aren't the shoe for me. The comfort level is fine, but not great.
disappointing shoe April 14, 2010 maplesmom (VT) 2 out of 2 found this review helpful
I've been buying this New Balance series of shoe for several years now and always was pleased with the cushioning and support it provided doing different activities at the gym. This 1010 series is quite inferior in quality compared to the 1009 and 1008 ones of previous years. For whatever reason they redesigned the upper part of the shoe which now feels really flimsy and gives less support,it even collapses at the back of the heel when I pull it on! The cushioning inside is adequate but not sure how long it will last. Definitely not worth $109.99! Interesting to note this pair was made in the USA and the older models were made in China! Wouldn't recommend buying it!
Great Zumba and Gym Shoe! March 13, 2010 Marilyn (Sacramento, CA) This is my 2nd purchase of the New Balance WX1010 to replace the first I made nearly a year ago after reading favorable review by a certified gym trainer in a fitness magazine. I take 3-4 Zumba classes weekly, an occasional kick boxing class and also use much of the other gym equipment daily. This light weight shoe works well for me all around and I don't have to pack an additional pair for the different activities. The length is true to size; it is a bonus that it comes in 2A for my narrow feet. Arch support is excellent for impact and stability but there is plenty of flexibility for the pivoting and turning of the dance steps. The bottom of the sole does not stick to the wood group class floor either. There is extra support on each side of the shoe that extends into the lace piece so my foot feels secure. I also like the mesh which allows my foot to breathe. Comfort out of the box is near perfect except slight stiffness on the inside below the ankle which softened up within about a week or so. Unfortunately the stylish color silver/cranberry I bought both times has been discontinued but WX1010 is still manufactured in white and black. I will buy this shoe again if I can find it in my size and a color I like when I am ready.

GOOD SHOES, COMFORTABLE, RECEIVED WHAT I ORDERED AND MY WIFE LIKES THEM. WE HAVE PROBLEM WITH THE SHOE OR THE SELLER.
Great workout sneakers January 26, 2010 J. Huff (New York, NY) 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
Bought these for my mom for Christmas to workout in and she loves them. The only thing is that the laces are very long.
