Shoe was not exactly what I was looking for. Explanation: New Balance recently changed "lasts" & quality for certain shoes such as the 608. However, Amazon has suppliers tht still have the original 608s in stock. The newer 608 is referred to as MX608V2. Older models(the ones considered by a number of us to be the higher quality shoe) are just MX608.
Amazon marketed this shoe as a MX608 but it is infact a MX608V2.

These New Balance sneakers are very low quality. The cushioning is similar to cardboard. After walking in them for 3 minutes I had to take them off. Both pairs are being returned. I need to find another sneaker company, with a quality cushioning. I had been ordering the New Balance 608 series for years. No more New Balance for me.

The shoes arrived very quickly and were exactly what my husband wanted. He had gotten a pair earlier this year at a store and they were the most comfortable work shoes he'd ever had. Since he stands on cement all day he really needs a good pair of shoes. When we couldn't find another pair at a store we tried on line. The price was even better than at the store and he's very glad he's got another pair.

The shoes are great. The real story is that I could not find the shoes locally (in Dallas!) in my size. So I had been resistant to buying shoes without trying them on first. Well, just measure properly and order. Sooooo much better than going into a store and hunting for the odd style in your size.

I purchased these for my husband who is on his feet at work at least 12 hrs. per day. He absolutely loves them. These shoes give him great support. His inlays fit great in them also.
